So today at work I had nothing to do while I was sorting through some sale items and I was just making a mental list of everything I love about my husband. I can't tell you how weird that is!! Ahh!! I really like it though, heehee! A lot of people say that they expected marriage to be the magic fix-it or whatever, and that definitely wasn't the case(considering there was nothing that so desperately needed to be fixed), but I for some reason thought that being married would make me feel more grown up. Yeah, not so much. Anyways as I was saying, things I love about my husband. I really am so glad I married him. Like the more I think about it the happier I am. So I just thought that I would share some of my favorite things about him....heehee...
I love that he doesn't let stereotypes carry any weight in what he does or thinks. I have always hated the stereotypes of how life ends when you get married, or men hating to come home to their wives, wives being controlling wenches, men being useless, you get my point. I love that he doesn't let any silly stereotypes control any of what he does...it's very nice.
I like his view on kids. He wants to have some on day. Yay!! hahaha
I love how unique of a person he is. I know that everyone is unique but I do feel that some people are kinda basically the same...sure deep down they're different, but you can kinda put them in a basic category, but I really feel that you can't do that with Torin. When we first got together it was kinda rocky for a while because I really just felt that I never knew what to expect, but obviously things have smoothed out. I've learned more of what to expect, but I've also learned to just trust him, he hasn't let me down yet!!
I've come to really love how different we are, I didn't realize how important that really was until him. For example, I'm a very emotional person, I cry easy(and a lot), I can get really down, I can be super overly happy, you get the picture. He however, is much much more balanced. Sure he changes moods, but the change is so mild! It helps balance out my all-over-the-place-emotional-ness. It used to bother me that he didn't show emotions much, but after a while I figured out that he did show his emotions, just very differently. It makes it mean that much more when he does something sweet cause I know he wouldn't do it if he really didn't mean it.
One of my biggest pet peeves that so many guys do is when they play stupid. They can tell that their girl is upset but they just go along pretending they don't notice cause they don't want to bring it up. I have a hard time telling him when I'm angry, but as soon as he can tell something's up he'll ask what's wrong. He doesn't pretend he doesn't know there's something wrong, and he usually will try to guess it. If it's something he did he doesn't pretend he doesn't know what happened, unless he really doesn't know but then he's not pretending. :-)
He always tries to make me laugh...gotta love a sense of humor!!
He doesn't have this stubborn "I like the way I am, and I'm not changing" attitude, he's willing to bend how he needs to, which makes it easier for me cause I feel like I work hard to make things work and thanks to him it's not all a waste.
I know we still have a long ways to go, but I think we've got an awesome headstart with knowing how to work together. We have a lot of fun being together...I could go on and on listing things I like, but I'm getting really tired and I gotta go to bed soon.
Sorry if that entry was ramble-y at all...I seem to blog when I'm sleepy haha!!
Good night
ciao!

...and so the family name dies out.
Welll.....
Anyhoo, so day of the wedding (Friday the 22) I was really anxious in the morning. I get worried to easily and so I kinda let my nerves get in the way of being excited. It actually resulted in a meltdown of tears and snot and all sorts of unattractiveness. On the brightside, once that was over I felt much much better and there was a lot less snot and tears.
We did the little ceremony, and I about cried like five times(Torin almost cried too, heehee!!) and then we ate cake and played the "Newly Wed Game". I would like to thank all contributors to that wretched game. Your questions were very silly and gave everyone a good laugh.

We then headed home to grab our stuff and then we headed out to our motel!! We got to stay at Dunning Mills Inn, which was way nice.
I'm married!! Just in case you guys somehow missed that. :D I'm way excited!! haha!

So we headed over to my parents house and Torin got ready first and came down in his cute Kung Fu shirt...oh snap!! He looked mighty fine and so that was a pretty good reminder of why I'm marrying him. Just playin! So I got to go get ready and that sure was fun! haha.....it was actually just kind of a mess, makeup everywhere. Anyhoo, I got all ready and then I realized that I still had way to much time, so I just headed downstairs, cause we broke most every other tradition...why not this one? While we waited we were playing with the ring boxes and ended up getting them taken away. Some people just get annoyed a little too easily.

Thank you Marm and Vatti for helping with the wedding and setting everything up! And for the car!!! woot!! Thank you to my inlaws for being really awesome inlaws, I'm really happy to have you guys. I like you all so much! And thank you Javon for being the Ring Princess, so pretty!!
Waiting for people to arrive while playing with the ring boxes!
Everyone after the wedding!!! Woot woot!!
The Newly Wed Game!!!!!
We both got really cold, so we got pretty blankets to wrap up in.
We then headed home to grab our stuff and then we headed out to our motel!! We got to stay at Dunning Mills Inn, which was way nice.
I married Torin for one reason and one reason alone. I have this great goal to be a professional gold digger, but I figure that I need to practice before I start dating/marrying the real old rich men. Torin is my practice round. So I figured that since I had gotten through the whole wedding part, now would be a good time to get to the follow up. After locating the room I went up the stairs to the room while he went back to the car to grab stuff. As I was heading up the stairs I saw a cat staring at me, so I thought it would be a really great idea if I had the cat jump off the balcony and land on Torin's head, taking him out in the process. As I approached the cat to explain what I wanted it to do it got spooked and leapt off the balcony. A split second later I heard the classic black man scream. "Yes!!" I thought "I succeeded!!" I looked over the balcony to find him in a fit of hysterical laughter, head intact and all. Dammit! So close! Haha...no but the cat just barely missed landing on his head. I thought it was pretty funny. Now he's figured out that I'm trying to kill him, so I figure that to be safe I'll just let him live and stay married to him. He's pretty alright, so I think I can manage.
The next day we went to Potomac Mills so he could show me the mall and we could go see Avatar in 3D. And this is where I get to write my very first movie review(don't worry I won't give away anything!!)
AVATAR
I don't generally like watching movies in 3D cause they always give me such a headache, but this one didn't, at all. It was definitely worth seeing in 3D so I highly recommend. I must say that it was honestly one of the most epic films I have ever seen in my life. The special effects were unlike anything I have ever seen at all. I had a hard time believing it wasn't real, and it was all so beautiful that I just decided to let myself believe it is. The story was quite original, but some of the plot was a bit predictable, but that was completely forgivable, because it was executed very well and there was enough originality that it totally worked. I personally did not find any plotholes, they were very thourough in explaining everything and it was very complete. It really made you feel like you were getting a glimpse of a whole real culture rather than someone just made up a few facts to share. Very consistent. I don't think that I can stress how beautiful this movie was. Nothing can really compare. I was in awe, and I almost cried several times, and ended up in tears before the end of the film. Can't wait for the sequel!!
Afterwards we went to a really tasty little Korean restaurant. It was crazy good!! I really loved it. Next time I'm getting that weird black goop...heehee!!
Afterwards we stopped by our friend, Lisa's, house to say hi since we were in the area, Michelle and Matt were also there, so that was fun to see them as well! Michelle was doing the WiiFit, so that was pretty entertaining to watch. I think the WiiFit's pretty awesome, but the one flaw is that when it weighs you it can't really take build into account, nor can it tell muscle from fat cause according to the WiiFit Torin is nearly 30 lbs overweight! We all burst out laughing when we saw that...yeah he's defintely not overweight. heehee!!
On the way home we got some Taco Bell and since we just got married the lady there gave us some extra desserts and told us that she hopes our marriage lasts longer than hers. ha!! It was really nice of her to give us extra stuff though. So thank you random lady!!
This morning we left the motel and came home to our kitties! We missed them so! I wasn't needed at work so I got to stay home, and so did Torin, which was nice. As much fun as we had going away for a couple days we really like being back home with all our stuff, back where it's familiar, ya know? So we've just been chilling today which has been nice. Playing some computer games, watching Mystery Science Theater 3000, eating cereal...it's all good. :D

Lastly! I feel I must mention some truly great artists. Today I was watching some Michael Jackson music videos, and I just gotta say that man is amazing! Everyone already knows how much I love Michael, but I never cease to be amazed at how much he put into his music and his art, so beautiful. Watching him perform is like watching him channel the music, he almost seems taken over by the music. If you've never watched much Michael, you definitely should.
Next, I was watching some Sting videos and he truly is classic. His voice is so beautiful, there really is none like it. His lyrics are so beautiful and poetic, it's just amazing.
And lastly, Tears for Fears. There aren't many artists that sound as good live as they do recorded, but TFF definitely does. Their voices sound like they much be somewhat tweaked on the album, but then you hear them live and realize that they really do just naturally sound that cool. And plus they are just all around amazing.
Alright, well sorry for the entry being excruciatingly long, and all y'all have a great night!!
ciao

Cold feet? No, they're actually quite toasty, thank you.
Tomorrow is the big day.......*shudder*
Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly excited but I'm also incredibly anxious. Today while Torin and I were sitting at dinner we were talking about how this time tomorrow night we'll be married, and it was pretty weird. I've been really anxious and pretty antsy all day, but super excited! Torin seemed fine until we were watching an episode of Modern Family and someone made reference to when they got married and mentioned how the husband made the wife say it first. Torin looked at me and said "We're saying that tomorrow, aren't we?" I nodded and then he started with the "Ooh! Butterflies...in my stomach." It made me laugh, he's such a cutie pie.
We got to run around a bunch today in our new car!! woooot!! We went over to my Mom and Dad's house so I could try on my dress and then we ran over to Torin's dad's house, but he was gone, so we just said hi to Shelby and then we headed out. We had the exciting adventure of running around trying to figure out exactly where his brother lives.....and after standing outside of the wrong house ringing the doorbell for a good 15 minutes or so we finally called him and found out that they didn't live there anymore, so we figured out where they were and headed over there. We were pretty relieved that those people didn't answer the door, or we'd have felt pretty dumb.
So as nervous as I am about tomorrow, I'm more excited then anything for sure. Today we were talking about how far we've already come in the amount of time we've been together, and how it's only been possible because we're together. Back in July when we got together I was pretty much homeless, staying at a different place every couple nights, working at FunLand, where I was getting paychecks but I didn't have any way to cash them because I didn't have any ID they would accept, being a minor out on your own is harder than ya'd think! haha!! He was 23 back living at home with his dad, working part time at FunLand, and spending all his time with video games, not because he wanted to but cause there was nothing else to do. We were both kinda stuck in a not fun place. We'd been talking for a while but then one day he wanted me to come over so I could talk to him about something, so I went over and then I stayed there for a while and over time I was practically living there, and we were dating. I found a way to cash my paychecks and we found friends who needed a roommate so we moved in, and the apartment was just perfect, cause then we could walk to work. Unfortunately, right at this time Torin lost his job at FunLand, so we were both surviving off whatever I was making, which was not easy. Finally after some crazy job hunting he got another job, and I got a better job at Victoria's Secret and left FunLand. Now we're about to get married, we've got a car, and we're looking at him going back to school and whatnot. It's nice to see that there's such a wide open future. We know we've still got an incredibly long ways to go, but it really helps to see how far we've already come. Today I was watching him play with his nephew, Jaden, and it made me think that one day we'll have a little mini Torin.....how cute! Don't worry, that day is VERY far in the future, but it's still a fun thought. No babies anytime soon though. Okay, it's very late at night and I am very tired, so I should probably stop typing.
Oh I do want to share one thing though before I go. A LOT of people have been very vocal about their disapproval of us getting married, and you know it's fine if you don't agree, but two things: Firstly, you guys need to back off. Cause most of the ones who are voicing it, are voicing it nonstop, and it's getting very old and very upsetting. You're not going to change my decision. Secondly, on February 27th is when our open house is, all y'all are invited, but I want to make it clear that the open house is for those who love and support us. It's a celebration of us being married, so if any of you feel like you can't support us in this then please don't come. If you can, then come it'll be fun! But I don't want to hear any criticism or negativity about the wedding. I hope that all makes sense(remember, I'm about to pass out) and I hope none of it comes across rude, cause it's not meant to, I am just getting sick of everyone telling me to really think about my decision, cause guess what....I have. :D

I say who's that Spartan doin some Tai Chi?
Heya friends!!
So I finally decided to make our marriage plans known to all, cause I am still sick of question. :D
Okay, so this weekend(Friday the 23), Torin and myself are getting married. We're doing it at my parents house where the bishop of their church will marry us, and we're just having family there, so don't feel bad that you weren't invited. After that we're just gonna go stay in a nice hotel for a couple of days, cause then we gotta go to work and whatnot. We'll be having an open house in february for people to come see us and whatnot, and that will also be at my parents house. Ya'll will get invites to that, so no worries.
Yesterday I went and got my tongue pierced. Okay, maybe it was just because I had been told by so many people that it didn't hurt that I was surprised at how much it actually did hurt. After the guy attempted to rip my tongue out of my skull, I began to realize how horrendously unattractive the whole process of getting your tongue pierced is. There was a steady stream of slobber running down the front of my and my eyes were watering smearing my makeup everywhere...not exactly the hottest thing. :D It actually went very well, and I really like it a lot.
This morning my mom came and picked Torin and myself up so we could go register our car and get our marriage license! We waited for about a million years to get the car registered, but it ended up being better then any other DMV because the lady was so pleasant to deal with, she was very nice and helpful. After we left there we were just gonna walk to the place to get the license, considering we were in olde towne so you can walk everywhere, and while we were walking we saw a couple standing in a parking lot and the lady was screaming at the guy, so much that it was quite disturbing. And then we looked past her and saw another couple that was doing the exact same thing! We kinda just laughed about it, but then later when we walked past that same parking lot we saw a sign that said "Juvenile and Delinquent Domestic Court". Just made me laugh considering we had seen a bunch of people fighting outside there. :)
Well we got our beautiful car!! He's a smexy red blazer named Johnny Rico(from Startship Troopers) and I still remember how to drive!! Woot! We're very happy to finally have a car to drive. Thank you Marm and Dad!!
I am tired and now must sleep.
Ciao!!

UpDaTe!!!
Okay, so just thought I would update and let people know that Torin and I keep changing the exact wedding plans, so for right now we are keeping everything pretty private. We'll send out announcements or invites, or whatever when we are ready too. Once again, if you are dying of curiousity feel free to ask. Just thought I would let people know, so they aren't wondering too much.
So I think that now is a good time to tell the truth. Let everyone know how cruel and abusive Torin really is. :D
Since Torin and I both walk everywhere and carry around bags and whatnot, our shoulders get really sore so I always make him rub my back, and I've tried returning the favor in the past, but it's always backfired. He is ticklish on the most insane level, as in I seriously have NEVER met anyone even close to that ticklish. So last night he asked why I never rub his back and I told him that it's because it's physically dangerous for me to get anywhere near his back or sides. So he scoffed at me as though I spoke of insanity and told me to try. So I sat on his back and started rubbing his shoulders and all of a sudden he twitches, his feet fly up, hit me in the back, and kick me off him, almost knocking the wind out of me. What had I told him?!? I wasn't kidding about the physically dangerous part! He felt terrible and made sure I was okay as we were both laughing hysterically. Who really has that sort of reaction? Neither of us could stop laughing for the rest of the night...probably won't be trying that again!
Well we're very excited to get married and we'll keep updated once everything in place and whatnot.
ciao!

THE FIRSSSTTT!!!
Hi! So I decided that I would write a blog cause it would probably be a pretty good way to keep some sort of journal.
Anyhoo, today was a fairly cool day, I got to work extra hours so that was actually really nice, I love the ladies I work with! They're pretty much amazing. Torin had an old asian lady tell him how beautiful his eyelashes are. heehee! For some reason old asian ladies really seem to love him, kinda funny.
Oh and just to let everyone know Torin and I have decided to just go do the justice of peace thing at court to get married and then we'll have an open house later. We have our reasons for deciding to go about things this way, and we're gonna keep them personal(If you really feel the need to know then you can ask one of us). No there are no babies involved, so no worries. :D We've just been getting lots of questions, so I thought I'd let y'all know.
I don't really know how many people will read this blog, but like I said, a lot of it is mainly just to keep a journal.
Alright, well i will blog again when I actually have something interesting to say!! Good night!!
Ciao
