Yuck.

So Torin and I have been running around to other Victoria's Secrets to pick up bras for our Semi Annual Sale(and no, we aren't stealing the bras, we were in fact ASKED to go pick them up. heehee). Last week we went to Charlottesville to get some, and that was fun and yesterday(monday) we ran to Southpark Mall to get them. It's normally about a 1.5 hour each way, so we left around 11:30 am thinking that we would be back by early afternoon, but within a very short amount of time we were brought to a complete stop, sitting on 95 for the next few hours. Now this wouldn't be as frustrating, except we don't have any AC and it was hot as a motherflubber!!! I seriously started contemplating stripping, like it was driving me crazy. However, I stayed fully clothed and we finally pulled off at an exit, after some of the most frustrating traffic ever. We got directions of how to go around it, and it even took a while to get through all that, basically the ride there was a nightmare. We didn't end up getting back to my home VS until a bit after 6:30 pm. It was too long of a day. Driving was somewhat fun when we could actually drive though, my arm got sunburned from hanging out the window...so now I have one sunburned arm, and the other's just fine! Some of the overpasses and whatnot reminded me of TX and made me even more excited to move!! So I took a few random pics....

Torin driving AND being cute!

Us...me being cooler then you'd think possible

I know it's not half as cool as TX...but it reminded me.

A really cool looking old building. woot woot! :D

oh woops!

I feel so silly, I forgot to mention that I have a new beautiful baby niece!! I love you beautiful Baby Rhys and I'm so glad to have you as part of our family! Can't wait to see you!!

Bookstores.....

I love bookstores, they are fabulous places. Considering that Torin and I don't live too close to any especially fun places, nor do we have a lot of money, we spend a lot of our time at Border's. It's one of the places that we've gone to for a long time and so it would almost feel wrong not to make an occasional visit. Usually when I wait for Torin to get off work I'll go chill at Border's for a bit and read all kinds of fun books but a couple weeks ago when I ended up chatting with a lovely lady, Alicia(sp?) and a very....special guy named John, wait sorry, Shadow. Shadow continued to tell us that he got his name because of his extensive martial arts training and how his sensei(sp?) had saved his life, taught him everything he knows, and all that jazz. He had come from a family of 200 strong warriors but they had been reduced to merely 16 survivors!! He went on about the abuse he had suffered from several different step fathers and step mothers, even though his parents were both dead(so how they kept remarrying was beyond me). Because of the depression the abuse caused, he sold his soul to the devil at age 8 and no matter how much he begs, he can't get it back. He had been engaged four or five different times, even though he's only twenty, and each girl had been an exotic mix of crazy ethnicities so he totally understood the difficulties of an interracial relationship(which, honestly, I wouldn't say there's anymore difficulties then in a same race relationship). He finally one day, while walking down the street with his Fillipino/Russian fiance, could no longer take the disgusted looks from others so he turned around and yelled "Why do you hate us!!!!?! What is wrong with our love?!!!?" and those people never talked to him again. Bottom line, this guy was a nutter. At first he was fun to listen to cause he would make things so incredibly outlandish but after a while I kinda got sick of hearing it, cause he wouldn't let anyone else get a single word in. Alicia, on the other hand, was incredibly pleasant. She's a very sweet lady who has had a very exciting life and is super enjoyable to talk with. Since then we have chatted several times at Border's and it's always so pleasant to see her. She's a very caring lady, and it makes me twice as glad that I've spent so much time at Border's! Today as we were chatting we saw him again and the stories got crazy again. We did also meet a very nice young couple who just had their first baby, and I think they were pretty blown away by the things Shadow comes up with. I do love meeting people in bookstores though, you can learn so many fun things.

Well, Torin and I have finally planned our escape from Virginia!!!!! It shall include great ninja skill and sneakiness! We are moving to San Antonio, TX. "What's there?" is the question everyone asks, and we have several answers:

1. Not Virginia.

2. Decent cost of living.

3. A better city to live in altogether.

4. Chuck Norris (I'm just assuming)

5. Better job economy.

6. And I guess family....:D(mine and Torin's)

We are looking to leave in the beginning of August, and we're pretty psyched. We've already got some stuff packed up and we've taken down our pain in the butt water bed, and we really can't wait to move there. I am going to miss a lot of people here, and I'm really gonna miss my darling VS 610 ladies(and Allure Encino..haha!), but I figure I'll see them again. I'm scared to leave my mama and my daddy, but they visit TX enough that I may actually end up seeing them more than I did before, cause my mom was always in TX! I get to meet a couple of nieces that I've never met before, so that'll be nice, and I will also be reunited with my fellow San Marcos-ians. That funny little place, San Marcos.
Alrighty....I'm gonna go to work now.
Ciao, friends!!
